Five LEGO sets coming in October you might overlook
Some highly anticipated LEGO sets are coming out in October – but make sure you don’t overlook some others that might fly under the radar.
Major releases like LEGO Star Wars 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge and LEGO Fortnite 77073 Battle Bus might be dominating the excitement around new LEGO sets in October but there are a lot of other sets that are just about to release that you might not be aware of. Indeed, with the LEGO Group extending the time between reveals and releases more and more of late, some sets were revealed a long time ago and you’d be forgiven for forgetting that their time is finally here.
To make sure you don’t miss out on any of the LEGO sets due for release, we’re shining a spotlight on five LEGO sets you might have overlooked.
LEGO Art 31213 Mona Lisa
Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 1,503

Revealed all the way back in May, LEGO Art 31213 Mona Lisa is finally about to start shipping for those who pre-order and be available to buy outright in stores and online. The 1,503 pieces make up a recreation of the iconic artwork, complete with the half smile. The frame is almost as impressive as the portrait itself, made up of gold-lacquered elements.
With such a long period between reveal and release, take this as your reminder that the world’s most famous painting is about to make it into the LEGO system.
LEGO Fortnite 77072 Peely Bone
Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 1,414

77073 Battle Bus is arguably the central set of the fledgling LEGO Fortnite theme but the sheer weirdness of 77072 Peely Bone shouldn’t be overlooked. Built with a sturdy display base and information pack, the Fortnite character is split in half, part banana skin and part internal organs. It’s as gory as LEGO sets are ever likely to get and answers the all-important question: what makes up the anatomy of a humanoid banana?
LEGO 40746 Santa’s Delivery Truck
Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 224

With two festive LEGO Botanical Collection sets and a new Winter Village model for 2024, the holidays season is nearly upon us – and there’s a good value Christmassy set that might have snuck under your radar. 40746 Santa’s Delivery Truck is only £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 and is a great stocking filler for the holiday season, or as a budget-friendly way to add some brick-built fun to your festive decor.
LEGO Wednesday 76781 Wednesday & Enid’s Dorm Room
Price: £79.99 / $89.99 / €89.99 Pieces: 750

Released quite far out from Netflix’s Wednesday airing and featuring mini-dolls that might mean some adult builders discount the set as for children, 76781 Wednesday & Enid’s Dorm Room is impressive enough to warrant a place on this list. The level of detail of the girls’ doom room will please Wednesday fans and there are also various gothic elements that would make for fun spooky season builds, including new designs for gargoyles.
LEGO Wicked 75683 Glinda & Elphaba’s Dormitory
Price: £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99 Pieces: 740

Another mini-doll set, 75683 Glinda & Elphaba’s Dormitory features a nifty design that works for both play and display. When folded together, it looks like a collector’s display model for Wicked fans, featuring the infamous green elixir and a pink rose to represent the main characters. You can also open it up to reveal an interior of the shared dorm room of Clinda and Elphaba, with space to store the two mini-dolls as well.
