Five of the most intriguing LEGO 2026 rumours this week

This week has been a busy one for the LEGO 2026 rumour mill, so we’ve picked out some of the most intriguing tidbits of them all.

We’ve had a lot of rumours this week across *deep breath* LEGO Star Wars, Harry Potter, Ideas, Icons, Architecture, Marvel, NINJAGO, Creator 3-in-1, and more besides. The best way to stay abreast of everything is to check out our summary of every LEGO set confirmed and rumoured throughout the year here, but there are some rumours that have caught our eye in particular.

It’s worth remembering that rumoured details on possible LEGO sets should be taken with a pinch of salt until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group.

Hogwarts Houses taking centre stage

One rumoured LEGO Harry Potter set is said to be 76462 Hogwarts House Symbol. Just a few years ago, we had a LEGO Art-style model with 2021’s 31201 Harry Potter Hogwarts Crests, but this rumoured set would be quite a lot smaller at an expected 545 pieces.

The traditional expectation in LEGO Harry Potter tends to be minifigure-scaled play sets and buildings, but the theme has been mixing it up more and more in the last few years. We’ve had more microscale sets like 75419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds and 76444 Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops, as well as clearly display-centred models like 76466 Philosopher’s Stone Collectors’ Edition, 76470 Enchanted Flying Ford Anglia, and 76449 Chomping Monster Book of Monsters.

If we were to speculate, 76462 Hogwarts House Symbol could be another model built more for decor than play, perhaps one that’s customisable to the chosen Hogwarts House, seeing as the rumoured name is singular. With the millennial Potterhead habit of sorting oneself into houses, that would surely go down a treat with the adult LEGO market who might be interested in a displayable build.

Whatever it ends up like, the rumoured set name does make it sound quite different from the majority of LEGO Harry Potter sets currently on shelves.

LEGO Star Wars up-scaled minifigures

Speaking of trying out new things, the latest LEGO Star Wars rumours include a mention of Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure. No further details have been reported, but you can almost immediately picture what this might look like, thanks to the recent relatively rapid-fire run of Up-Scaled minifigures.

There’s also a set rumoured as 75455 Boba Fett. While ‘Up-Scaled’ is not included in that name, it could be another buildable figure along the same lines.

Sets like 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure, 40819 Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure, and 40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure have proven popular so far, so it’s perhaps only inevitable until such models come to LEGO Star Wars too – although not confirmed just yet.

A Botanicals conundrum

On the face of it, 11511 Water Lily sounds like a fairly typical LEGO Botanicals rumour. However, the nature of this plant means finding a way to easily display it could result in some creative design work from the LEGO Group.

If, like the various brick-built bouquets, this rumoured set only featured the flower itself, it could end up looking slightly out of place. It’s not as easy to pop in a vase as stemmed flowers, sitting instead among or on top of lily pads, typically.

This could then require a more detailed base, perhaps something along the lines of 10315 Tranquil Garden, with a base filled with blue elements to mimic water. That would be quite a departure from the other LEGO Botanicals sets, which are typically either bouquets or potted plants, highlighting that the theme still has plenty more areas in which to grow (see what we did there?)

Star Wars getting artsy?

Just like LEGO Harry Potter above, LEGO Star Wars is also rumoured to be getting some sets that suggest a more artistic approach in 2026. Between Mini-Movie Posters and Icons of Star Wars. With little to no other rumoured details at the moment, our speculation on these names is that they could be more display-focused than the rest of the theme.

Even for display-ready sets like the midi-scale Starship Collection or UCS models, these are brick-built recreations of ships at different scales. The mention of movie posters evokes an images of something closer to 21340 Tales of the Space Age, replicating the iconic movie posters of the Star Wars films. That would certainly appeal to the nostalgia of older fans, offering something LEGO-fied that you could hang on a wall, even if you don’t already have a LEGO Star Wars collection.

Similarly, Icons of Star Wars brings a version of 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition to mind: a collection of brick-built objects that represent Star Wars. Again, this is a departure from the typical LEGO Star Wars display set. While we’ve had objects recreated in sets like 40370 Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber as a GWP or arguably in the helmet collection, it’s far from the norm for a brick-built galaxy far, far away.

Olivia Rodrigo

Last but not least, this rumour feels particularly intriguing not just because there are so few details on it, but because the subject matter feels quite random. A set or possibly even multiple sets could be based on Olivia Rodrigo, the singer known for albums like sour and guts. Rodrigo hasn’t had much association with LEGO, not even appearing as a LEGO-fied Fortnite skin, while other musicians, like Sabrina Carpenter and Eminem have already got the digital minifigure treatment at least. Similarly, Taylor Swift has been a regular on LEGO Ideas.

LEGO sets inspired by musicians isn’t new, with Pharrell Williams collaborating on 10391 Over the Moon with Pharrell Williams, but that was hooked to the movie the company and musician worked on too. If this rumour does prove to be true, it’ll be interesting to see which aspect of Rodrigo or her work is recreated in LEGO – and whether it could also lead to finally making the much-desired Swiftie LEGO set a reality.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
