Sun, sand and a shirtless LEGO Batman

Fortnite just gave us four LEGO DC minifigures we'll never own

The latest Fortnite crossover has introduced four fantastic DC skins, each with a unique LEGO Fortnite minifigure that we're almost guaranteed never to see in a physical LEGO set.

It's no longer Hot Girl Summer in Fortnite – Epic Games has instead declared it Hot Bat Summer. The limited-time crossover introduces beach-ready versions of Batman, Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, all of which have received brilliantly unique LEGO minifigure designs.

Beach Bod Batman

Beach Bod Batman swaps the Dark Knight's usual cape and armour for a shirtless look complete with battle scars, wrist printing and flip-flops. He even keeps his utility belt, now wrapped around his swim shorts, while still wearing his iconic cowl.

The design feels reminiscent of the Hot Tub Stormtrooper from 75419 Death Star, offering a fun twist on an otherwise serious character.

High Tide Harley

High Tide Harley gives Harley Quinn a beach makeover with a bikini top, short shorts and flip-flops.

She also sports a necklace, her signature heart beneath one eye and brightly dyed pigtails. Every element used on the minifigure appears to be exclusive to this design.

Coastal Catwoman

Coastal Catwoman is the most covered-up of the four, wearing a black swimsuit rather than a bikini.

The minifigure includes dual-moulded arms to represent her long black gloves, along with side leg printing for the ties of the wrap around her waist. She also uses a new short hairpiece complete with a cat-ear headband.

Sunflower Ivy

The official Sunflower Ivy outfit has caused a stir online, with many calling it Fortnite's most revealing skin design yet.

The LEGO Fortnite minifigure tones that down considerably, covering her upper torso while leaving part of her waist exposed. She also features shorts with ivy printing on the sides of the legs and arms, alongside a new red hairpiece decorated with a flower.

Ace the Bat-Hound

Ace the Bat-Hound may not have a LEGO Fortnite minifigure, but Batman's loyal canine companion joins the event as its newest sidekick, earning him an honorary spot here.

Unlike the other characters featured here, Ace has previously appeared in a physical LEGO set, making his debut in 76110 Batman: The Attack of the Talons.

Whether any of these designs ever become official LEGO minifigures remains doubtful. The Fortnite event is age-restricted, requiring players to be at least 13 years old to use these outfits, meaning any physical versions would likely need to appear in an 18+ LEGO DC set.

Still, a beach-themed Gotham City set featuring these minifigures – perhaps even alongside a vacation-ready Joker – would make for a brilliantly fun display piece. It's probably wishful thinking, but it's hard not to keep your fingers crossed.
