Free LEGO DREAMZzz set coming to LEGO stores next month

A free LEGO DREAMZzz model, and maybe a minifigure, are coming to stores next month amid rumours of more in-store events for the theme.

The next free LEGO event for the UK and Europe has been confirmed to be based on LEGO DREAMZzz as promotion for the latest original theme continues. In the UK and Ireland, the next event takes place on August 10 and 14 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, you can expect the same giveaway on August 7 and 14 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Other regions may receive the promotion next month too, but we can only see the listing in these regions on LEGO.com at the time of writing.

The build being offered is a microscale version of 71479 Zoey’s Cat Motorcycle that looks to have space for a minifigure to sit and a transparent 2×2 piece that may come in handy for other projects. Keep in mind that this model cannot be purchased and that the activity is intended for children with builds limited to one model per person, while stocks last.

Displayed next to the miniature cat motorcycle is Mateo’s new minifigure from 71478 The Never Witch’s Midnight Raven, 71483 The Never Witch’s Nightmare Creatures, 71485 Mateo and Z-Blob the Knight Battle Mech and 71486 Castle Nocturnia. This implies that the minifigure will be offered alongside the build, but it’s not often that minifigures are given away at these events so we’d advise setting expectations accordingly.

Should it come with the minifigure, it may not be the only in-store event coming in 2024 based on LEGO DREAMZzz minifigures. The Build-a-Minifigure stations are rumoured to be receiving a LEGO DREAMZzz overhaul too though this has yet to be officially confirmed. Either way, the LEGO DREAMZzz creative lead discussed in-store promotions earlier this year.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
