LEGO DREAMZzz creative lead talks Season 2 and in-store promotions

More details regarding LEGO DREAMZzz Season 2 and news of upcoming in-store promotions have been revealed by the theme’s creative lead.

The first part of LEGO DREAMZzz’s second series became available to stream last week, with 10 all-new episodes of the animated show available on Netflix and other services around the world. As well as the returning core cast of heroes, Season 2 also introduces fans to a nefarious villain, the Never Witch.

Following the return of the series and ahead of eight new LEGO DREAMZzz sets launching on August 1, 2024, Cerim Manovi, the theme’s creative lead has been interviewed by Toy World regarding the IP and what the future holds.

“Without giving away too much,” said Cerim, “LEGO DREAMZzz Season 2 builds upon the Dream World through the introduction of a new villain – the Never Witch. She’s causing chaos, trying to steal memories and making evil doppelgangers. In the (new episodes of the show), we see our heroes rallying together to help protect the Dream World, using creativity and discovery to help fight off the Never Witch.”

Cerim went on to say that feedback from fans has also helped steer development of the LEGO DREAMZzz show and theme. “We are always listening to our fans and trying to incorporate their feedback as much as possible. This is an ongoing process, so we will always try our best to use their opinions when developing new characters, worlds and products for LEGO DREAMZzz.”

It also looks as if those self-same fans will be rewarded with a number of LEGO DREAMZzz promotions and events as some point this year. “We’ve got some exciting in-store events happening for fans across the world, including LEGO DREAMZzz giveaways, such as make and take product builds.”

There are currently no specific dates listed for any such LEGO DREAMZzz promotions, but speculation suggests they might be taking place sometime nearer the launch of the next wave of sets on August 1, 2024.
