There’s only one Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special LEGO minifigure we want

Aspiring LEGO builders show you how to make the one Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special LEGO minifigure that we all want.

Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special dropped on Disney+ on Friday, giving fans the chance to find out what Star Lord and the rest of the gang have been up to since the events of Thor: Love and Thunder. Packed with plenty of laughs, nods to the wider MCU and a rocking soundtrack, the special is perfect festive fare and a great set-up for next year’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

However, as entertaining as the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is, we do have two major gripes. The first of these is that 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar fails to feature truly accurate versions of any of the characters or ships in the special, drawing more from the wider history of the characters in the MCU.

The second issue is, where’s our awesome Kevin Bacon minifigure? The actor plays a major role in the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, so naturally we want to add the Footloose star to our collections. Fortunately, a few aspiring LEGO builders have taken it upon themselves to make their own versions of Kevin Bacon and show how simple it is to recreate him in minifigure form.

YouTubers Josh Allred and Kyle Style are just two LEGO fans who have posted short videos offering their own takes on Kevin Bacon. Whilst neither version is a completely accurate depiction of the Tremors hero, we’re still impressed they got there before the LEGO Group’s inevitable official minifigure is released (that’s pure wishful thinking, of course).

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is now available for all subscribers to stream on Disney+. 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar can currently be picked up from LEGO.com at a discount, with the festive set due to retire at the end of 2022.
