New Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailer teases rumoured LEGO baby Rocket Raccoon

A new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has given us a better look at baby Rocket Raccoon, who’s now rumoured to be included in the movie’s LEGO sets.

Three LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sets are thought to be on the way later this year, as revealed in product listings from an Italian retailer back in November. And according to Instagram user 1414falconfan (via brick_clicker), at least one of those sets will apparently include a tiny new mould for baby Rocket Raccoon.

The latest trailer for James Gunn’s space-faring threequel debuted online during last night’s Superbowl, and gives us a very clear look at a very young Rocket. The third film will involve a deep dive into the raccoon’s past, revealing – through flashbacks – his origins as a test subject on the planet Halfworld. Check out the trailer below to see baby Rocket, who’s as adorable as you’re expecting.

Also featured in this trailer are Will Poulter’s very gold Adam Warlock, psychic Russian dog (and Knowhere security chief) Cosmo, and the returning Gamora, who’s back after being bumped off in Avengers: Infinity War. They’re joining the rest of the Guardians gang for interstellar hijinks, including Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), Groot (Vin Diesel), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff) and Kraglin (Sean Gunn).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is written and directed by James Gunn, in what will be his final Marvel movie before he heads up the DC universe. It’s due out in cinemas May 5, 2023.

At the moment, just one LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy set is confirmed for 2023 in 76251 Star-Lord’s Helmet. Three more are currently rumoured to be arriving this year too, however, which you can check out in the table below. (Note that these are not final set names, and nor indeed have these sets been officially confirmed by the LEGO Group.)
