How to collect all 12 LEGO Series 26 Minifigures

Looking for ways to get your hands on all 12 LEGO 71046 Series 26 Space minifigures when they drop next week? Here are just a few methods for collecting them all…

There have been plenty of different ways to cheese a full collection of each LEGO Minifigures series over the years, working first around the blind bags and then the blind boxes to avoid ending up with accidental duplicates of unwanted characters. The same will be true too of 71046 Series 26 Space, which lands on shelves on May 1 – and may be the easiest series to collect yet.

Scroll down for the best ways to add all 12 of these minifigures to your wider LEGO collection, from the Ice Planet Explorer to the M-Tron Powerlifter.

Use the Brick Search app

The most efficient (and cost-effective) way to collect all 12 minifigures in 71046 Series 26 Space – with no duplicates – is to use the Brick Search app. The larger data matrix codes introduced with 71045 Series 25 are back on boxes for Series 26, and their corresponding codes are already loaded into Brick Search. That means you’ll be able to use the app’s minifigure scanner to identify what’s inside each blind box every single time.

Download Brick Search on iOS or Android now and you’ll be ready for May 1, when the new series arrives on shelves everywhere. Head here to find out more about the app’s minifigure scanner.

Get to the LEGO Store on opening day

Having the Brick Search app locked and loaded isn’t the only part of picking up a complete series of Space minifigures, though: you’ll also need to find somewhere that has them in stock. Top of the list is the LEGO Store, but you can ensure the best odds of finding them by heading down on release day, and ideally first thing (it is a Wednesday, so that might not be so easy for everyone).

Don’t forget the additional benefit to buying from the LEGO Store, too: the chance to rack up LEGO Insiders points while you’re shopping.

Try all your local toy stores

If the LEGO Store has sold out of certain characters by the time you arrive – and while all 12 minifigures in Series 26 have something cool going on, a few are undoubtedly going to be more popular than others – it’s time to start trying other toy stores and even supermarkets. You might need to visit a few to grab a complete collection, but with the Brick Search app in hand it’ll still be a smooth process when you do find them on shelves.

Pre-order a full set from The Minifigure Store

If you’d prefer not to (or aren’t able to) go hunting for the new minifigures in person, you can always order a complete set from the comfort of your own home. The Minifigure Store is one UK retailer currently offering the opportunity to buy either a full set of 12 minifigures for £59.99, or a complete box of 36 minifigures for only £124.99.

If you only want one set of 12, you could always find a couple of friends to go in on the full box and split them between you, as each box of 36 should contain three complete sets of all 12 characters.

Order them blindly on LEGO.com

Finally, if you have money to burn or just don’t mind getting endless duplicates of the characters in 71046 Series 26 Space, you could always buy them en masse from LEGO.com. This is the most expensive and least efficient way to go about it, but nobody’s going to stop you. We just can’t recommend it above… well, any of the other methods listed here.

71046 Series 26 Space launches on May 1, but is already starting to appear in some stores. Brick Search is available to download on Android and iOS for free now.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
