Builders wanting to get their copy of 10282 Adidas Originals Superstar through the trainer manufacturer themselves may be out of luck unless you’re willing to wait. Transportation issues with stock have caused a delay in the new LEGO set arriving on the official Adidas website.
The LEGO Group have explained the situation with the following statement: “There have been unexpected transportation delays on both the Superstar wearable and Superstar LEGO set, meaning Adidas will be launching the Superstar wearable shoe and 10282 Superstar LEGO set July 30 instead of July 1 through Adidas. 10282 will still be available via LEGO channels July 1”
The unfortunate delay likely won’t affect many builders as the official online LEGO store will still be stocking the model on the usual date, with the accompanying GWP on offer too. However, those hoping to pair the brick-built shoe with the wearable version are seemingly out of luck, at least until July 30.
We’ll keep you updated if the situation changes, but with us being so close to launch, it seems unlikely that these issues will somehow be resolved in time.
