LEGO Icons 10320 Eldorado Fortress VIP early access confirmed

LEGO VIP members will be able to sail the seven seas ahead of standard shoppers, as 10320 Eldorado Fortress is now confirmed for VIP early access.

The ability to buy LEGO sets first is just one of the perks of signing up to the LEGO VIP program, and that opportunity will now be extended to the newly-revealed 10320 Eldorado Fortress. The press release for the LEGO Icons set claimed it would enjoy VIP early access, but that wasn’t reflected at LEGO.com – until now. According to the product page, VIPs will be able to buy the LEGO Pirates reboot on July 4.

That’s three days ahead of its wide release on July 7, and ensures that VIP members will be among the first to put together the 2,509-piece stronghold. 10320 Eldorado Fortress revisits and revamps 1989’s 6276 Eldorado Fortress, swapping out its raised baseplate for a brick-built base, and adding in the small galleon from 6277 Imperial Trading Post.

The retro set will retail for £189.99 in the UK, $214.99 in the US and €214.99 in Europe. If you’re not yet signed up to the LEGO VIP program, here’s a step-by-step guide to doing so, and everything you need to know about the LEGO Group’s loyalty club.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
