LEGO 21058 Pyramid of Giza – Monuments of the World confirmed

An online listing has confirmed rumours of an upcoming LEGO Architecture set, 21058 Pyramid of Giza – Monuments of the World.

Recent rumours and a listing from online retailer Wagner’s both added fuel to the fire that 21058 Pyramid of Giza would be arriving at some point in 2022. Now the upcoming set has been confirmed for release by online retailer JB Spielwaren complete with its full title, 21058 Pyramid of Giza – Monuments of the World.

New details back up what we’ve previously heard about the model, with 21058 Pyramid of Giza – Monuments of the World including 1,476 pieces and the set being part of the LEGO Architecture theme. Interestingly, the retailer has the set listed for €118.99, which is less than the price stated by Wagner’s of €139.99.

In addition, the listing states that 21058 Pyramid of Giza – Monuments of the World will feature a printed plaque with name and ‘historical backgrounds’, although there’s no information on what they may be. Further details on the site refer to the model not being based on how the Pyramid of Giza looks today, but how it may have looked 4,000 years ago. A previous rumour reported as much, suggesting that the model may be built from white bricks with a golden piece (or pieces) used to cap it. 7327 Scorpion Pyramid (pictured below) was released in 2011, but the new LEGO Architecture set should be a much more accurate version of a pyramid.

21058 Pyramid of Giza – Monuments of the World is also referred to in the listing as a diorama, surrounded by a narrow black frame with the printed name tile on it. Unfortunately, no images of the set have been included with the listing so far.

The JB Spielwaren listing states that pre-orders for 21058 Pyramid of Giza – Monuments of the World will start from May 31, which could suggest that a previous rumoured release date of June 1 is on the cards for the set.

Do bear in mind that 21058 Pyramid of Giza – Monuments of the World has yet to be confirmed by the LEGO Group so far. We’ll update this story as soon as we have any more details on the set.
