LEGO 2K Drive Season 1 Drive Pass details confirmed

2K Games has revealed two new cars and multiple new characters coming to LEGO 2K Drive in the game’s first season of bonus content, which hits consoles and PC later this week.

As teased last week, Drive Pass Season 1 will be headlined by the two LEGO Speed Champions Fast & Furious cars, the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T and the Nissan Skyline GT-R. You’ll need to play through every last one of the season’s 100 tiers to unlock the Dodge Charger, while the Nissan Skyline will be unlocked at tier six.

Alongside those two cars comes four new drivers, collectively forming Bricklandia’s Fast Crew. You won’t find Dom, Brian or Lettie here, though: instead, LEGO 2K Drive has cobbled together its own cast of original characters in sisters Rita and Lita Malachi, pilot Doug and resident techie Ronnie. Those new drivers will be unlocked at tiers 14, 21, 61 and 69.

Additional content in Season 1 includes new flairs, brick packs and sticker packs, with a total of 101 premium rewards up for grabs. To access those rewards, you’ll need to own the Rivals Edition or Awesome Rivals Edition of LEGO 2K Drive, or purchase the Drive Pass separately. Don’t worry if you don’t fancy spending more money on the game, though: Season 1 also includes a handful of free rewards.

Among those are new stickers and brick packs, as well as a new driver – imaginatively named ‘Guy #1’ – at tier 95. If you make it all the way there and decide you’d quite like the premium rewards too, you can upgrade and retroactively unlock every premium reward up to your current level. The new season will also introduce new free challenges for all players.

Drive Pass Season 1 hits the starting grid on June 28, across consoles and PC. In a departure from the approach of its contemporaries (Rocket League, for example), there’s no time limit or expiry date for unlocking each season’s rewards, so you can play at your own pace.

LEGO 2K Drive is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch and PC.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
