LEGO 40512 Fun and Funky VIP Add On Pack gift-with-purchase confirmed

The LEGO Group has confirmed 40512 Fun and Funky VIP Add On Pack – and its pigs, pineapples and plethora of pink pieces – will soon be available as a gift-with-purchase.

What’s more fun and funkier than a pig? How about multiple pigs? Or maybe pineapples, guitars, skateboards and conspicuously-coloured ice cream elements? The LEGO Group clearly considers those things to fall under the remit of ‘fun and funky’, because you’ll find them all in the fourth and final VIP Add On Pack launching… sometime in the near future.

Following 40515 Pirates and Treasure VIP Add On Pack, the recent 40513 Spooky VIP Add On Pack and the also-upcoming 40514 Winter Wonderland VIP Add On Pack, 40512 Fun and Funky VIP Add On Pack will be free with qualifying purchases online and in store. When exactly that will happen is less certain at this stage, but the ‘gift-with-purchase’ tag at LEGO.com at least confirms it will be widely available.

All four of these VIP Add On Packs were originally distributed to select LEGO VIP members through a limited trial in 2021, but are now making their way into the wild. The first two required a minimum purchase of £50 / $50 / €50 on any and all LEGO products, so we’re expecting a similar threshold for 40512 Fun and Funky VIP Add On Pack.

You’ll also need to be signed up to the VIP program when the time comes, but if you aren’t a member of the LEGO Group’s loyalty scheme yet, signing up is free and easy to do.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
