Originally reported all the way back in January, the 680-piece set recreates the ride as seen at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, decked out in white and sand green. As with 40478 Mini Disney Castle – which you can read our review of here – 40521 Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion includes a single minifigure, in the form of the exclusive Butler.
There’s a hint of an interior around the back of the display model, which packs in a dining room and gallery, along with paintings of the Gravekeeper, Madame Leota and the Hitchhiking Ghosts. The final model stands 14cm tall, 12cm wide and 12cm deep, and like 40478 Mini Disney Castle sits on a black display base.
The two sets should obviously sit pretty nicely together on shelves, and 40521 Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion hopefully signals the beginning of annual additions to the subtheme – eventually allowing us to recreate an entire mini-scale Disneyland.
