LEGO BrickHeadz 40541 Manchester United Go Brick Me revealed

Manchester United fans frustrated with the team’s rebuilding efforts will soon be able to take matters into their own hands with LEGO BrickHeadz 40541 Manchester United Go Brick Me.

Whether you build your dream team or just insert yourself into the squad, this is another BrickHeadz set geared entirely around personalisation. Just like the already-revealed 40542 FC Barcelona Go Brick Me, the Man United-themed set includes what appears to be a printed tile for the front of the club’s shirt, alongside two sticker sheets to customise the back of the jersey.

Beyond the basics of the BrickHeadz character’s body, you can personalise the buildable statuette any way you see fit. Which is to say, you can build yourself as a Manchester United player. Or you could recreate your favourite actual player. Ronaldo’s probably on his way out, but he could live on as a Red Devil forever with this set, if only in your home.

There are 530 pieces in the box in total, matching 40542 FC Barcelona Go Brick Me exactly, so you can imagine they’re effectively the same set but for the kit colours. So while there’s no price or release date info for 40541 Manchester United Go Brick Me yet (it’s currently only listed on the Singaporean version of LEGO.com), it’ll probably arrive August 1 for £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99.

Both sets build on the concept of 2018’s 41597 Go Brick Me, which is arguably one of the theme’s best sets to date. And given the teams selected for these two new sets – both have stadiums in the LEGO ICONS line – a third Real Madrid version will surely follow soon, in line with 10299 Real Madrid – Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
