LEGO Winter Village companion set 40746 Santa’s Delivery Truck revealed

This year’s LEGO Winter Village set is getting a companion model in 40746 Santa’s Delivery Truck, which fills a gap left by 10339 Santa’s Post Office.

While the newly-revealed Winter Village 2024 set is billed as a post office, it’s actually anchored around collecting and categorising kids’ letters to Santa, with a mail sorting machine for dividing them into naughty and nice carts. 40746 Santa’s Delivery Truck – launching alongside 10339 Santa’s Post Office on October 1 – fulfils the other end of a post office’s role, sending parcels out into the world.

The 224-piece set comes in at £17.99 in the UK, $19.99 in the US and €19.99 in Europe, and feels like the kind of thing that might once have been included in the Winter Village set if there was room in the budget. 2011’s more grounded 10222 Winter Village Post Office includes a truck, after all – so adding 40746 Santa’s Delivery Truck to 10339 Santa’s Post Office completes the thematic homage to that 13-year-old set.

40746 Santa’s Delivery Truck also includes another elf minifigure, adding to the four in 10339 Santa’s Post Office, as well as a small Christmas tree with gifts. Stickers on the outside of the truck create a more obvious link to its Winter Village contemporary, while workshop stickers on the inside suggest that this elf is making up the toys as he goes along.
