LEGO Creator 40763 Children’s Day Teddy Bear revealed

Official images of what’s presumably a future LEGO gift-with-purchase have surfaced online, giving us our first look at 40763 Children’s Day Teddy Bear.

Brickmerge has published a suite of images of the 238-piece model, which consists of a buildable teddy bear and a bunch of brick-built accessories, including a sketchbook, a box of crayons, a drawing, a rose, a pair of glasses, two different bow ties and three classic LEGO elements. It’s a cute little build that (based on its product number) will surely wind up as a gift-with-purchase to celebrate Children’s Day.

The LEGO Group has sort-of acknowledged Children’s Day (the date for which varies by region) a couple of times, most recently in 2022’s 40529 Children’s Amusement Park, which was available from April 18 to May 30 with qualifying purchases. If this freebie follows in the footsteps of that one, it will likely go live at LEGO.com sometime in April.

Of course, there’s always a chance that 40763 Children’s Day Teddy Bear will be available to buy outright from LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores too: the 40XXX series of products covers both GWPs and LEGO Store exclusives, and Brickmerge has attached a recommended retail price of €19.99 to this set. But the LEGO Group also typically attributes a nominal figure to its gifts-with-purchase, so the jury’s out right now.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
