LEGO 40817 Yellow Travel Suitcase revealed for April 2025

The next LEGO-exclusive model to be released has been confirmed as the travel-centric 40817 Yellow Travel Suitcase, with accessories included.

Following a trio of major reveals yesterday, 40817 Yellow Travel Suitcase has been added to the official online store in the UK and the US, revealing pricing, piece count and images. The 184-piece model features a small yellow suitcase with an extending handle and wheels with a variety of small builds to place inside.

These small models include a camera, a toothbrush, a sandwich, a passport and a plane ticket. All the featured designs aside from the passport appear to use stickers, including a luggage tag for the suitcase, revealing that this is heading to Billund – the home of the LEGO Group.

A variety of extra stickers are included to decorate the outside of the suitcase, representing travel and destinations worldwide.

The £12.99 / $14.99 has no theme branding, and it seems likely that 40817 Yellow Travel Suitcase will be a LEGO-exclusive model similar to the new 40819 Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure. Whatever the case, it will be released on April 1, 2025.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
