E.T. cycles back into LEGO Ideas review round, again

Following the initial LEGO Dimensions pack, the LEGO Ideas community is still asking for an E.T. set as the film reaches the latest review round.

After the ’80s contest and many other LEGO Ideas projects that have failed to result in a full LEGO E.T. set, KoalaBrick is trying again with their ’80s contest entry, submitting it as a normal project as it reaches 10,000 supporters. This places it firmly in the first LEGO Ideas 2025 review round, where it’s up against 34 other submissions at a chance of getting an official set.

Similar to other proposed E.T. sets on LEGO Ideas, this model recreates the moment where the duo fly on their bike while silhouetted by the moon. A forest scene sits below this poster-like section of the model with two minifigures – Elliot and E.T.

There are a few hidden details to admire in this proposed model, but whether it will stand a chance in the first 2025 review has yet to be seen. Given the consistent demand for a full LEGO E.T. set, it’s probably only a matter of time until the LEGO Group returns to the property.

For now, KoalaBricks’ model has a spot in the first 2025 review.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
