LEGO Ideas gets cosy with The Holiday – Rosehill Cottage

A classic festive rom-com provides plenty of inspiration for the latest LEGO Ideas set to make it into the 10K supporters club.

The first LEGO Ideas review of 2025 is starting to fill up already, with 10 fan-designed submissions having hit the 10K mark so far. They’re now joined by the latest addition to that line-up, one that takes its inspiration from the 2006 romantic comedy, The Holiday, bringing with it an impressive festive build.

The Holiday – Rosehill Cottage is the creation of Martin_Studio, previously responsible for a recent winning LEGO Ideas Pick a Brick minifigure display set, a Singles’ Day runner-up entry and a successful Lord of the Rings competition submission.

The designer’s model recreates the location from the hit Christmas movie, known to fans of the film as the winter country home belonging to Iris Simpkins (Kate Winslet). The Holiday – Rosehill Cottage has been crafted with plenty of attention to detail and features two floors packed with charm and fun Easter eggs.

Inside The Holiday – Rosehill Cottage is the living room and kitchen located downstairs, plus a cosy bedroom and the magical tent where Graham’s (Jude Law) daughters Olivia and Sophie spend their time to be found upstairs.

The Holiday – Rosehill Cottage rounds out the LEGO Ideas model with a total of four minifigures, Iris, Miles (Jack Black), Graham and Amanda (Cameron Diaz), plus a figure of Iris’ adorable dog, Lulu.

For now, The Holiday – Rosehill Cottage can snuggle up next to the rest of the LEGO Ideas submissions in the first review of 2025, to await the judging process sometime later this year.

Hallo Matt,

Hier steht ja bekanntermaßen keine grosse Lizenz a la Star wars oder auch a la harry potter dahinter.

Ich hoffe, dass rosehill cottage trotzdem immer weiter und weiter durch den lego Wettbewerb kommt und vielleicht doch noch umgesetzt wird von Lego toi toi toi dafür
