Latest LEGO Ideas project is perfect for those who missed out on popular GWP
It’s take two for a bookish LEGO Ideas project, bringing some brick-built decor to even the busiest of bookshelves.
LEGO fan designer Pedro_RuizMx has brought back the second version of their LEGO Ideas project, Booknook: Story Laboratory, and gained 10,000 supporters for the second time. The first went into the review round in May 2024, before being ultimately rejected at the end of last year, marking a quick turnaround to make it back into the 10K club just a few months later.
The set blends a book-nook with a bookend, featuring five minifigures in the cosy space: a couple of young passionate writers, and three characters taken from their stories, including an astronaut and an explorer. As well as tiny books, there’s also various memorabilia from stories included in the build, including a transparent stand to send the astronaut into space above the library.
For those who missed out on 40698 Books Are My Passion, this would capture that some bookish, cosy atmosphere – if it becomes a real LEGO Ideas set. Booknook: Story Laboratory becomes the third LEGO Ideas project to enter the first 2025 review, Check out its competition so far in the table below.
