The Smurfs are smurfing their way to a LEGO Ideas review

With a movie coming later this year, at least 10,000 fans are hoping for an official LEGO Ideas The Smurfs set in the future.

The Half Blood Baron is trying their luck at a LEGO Ideas set again after a rejected Soyuz Rocket model, this time proposing a suitably adorable take on The Smurfs and their village.

With just over 2,700 pieces and 15 proposed minifigures (with little printing required), the project proposes four buildings, a bridge, a pier by the water and more to make up a village scene. With the likes of Winnie the Pooh already having received a LEGO Ideas set, a The Smurfs set isn’t impossible.

Should this be approved for a set, it might conflict with the BrickLink Designer Program’s world of mushroom-based housing, though the limited-edition nature of the program addition of the licensed property might be enough to differentiate between the two.

For now, this nostalgic property only has a chance at getting a tie-in LEGO Ideas set and hopeful fans will have to wait until the results of the first 2025 review in the future as the round is still accepting entries.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
