LEGO 71040 The Disney Castle sells out at the online store
You’ll have to wait a little longer to bring home a slice of Magic Kingdom, as LEGO 71040 The Disney Castle has sold out at the online store.
The 4,080-piece set has proved perennially popular since its launch in 2016, sticking around on LEGO Store shelves (both physical and virtual) well beyond the lifespan of a regular direct-to-consumer set. But it’s not without cause: 71040 The Disney Castle is essentially the ultimate LEGO Disney set, and even has its own share of celebrity fans in David Beckham and Jade Thirwall.
Fortunately, information received by Brick Fanatics suggests the enormous rendition of Disneyland’s most iconic castle isn’t due to retire until at least the end of 2022, so you’ve still got time to pick it up. There’s no need to keep manually checking LEGO.com, though: simply sign up to our stock alerts and we’ll let you know when it’s available to order.
For now, 71040 The Disney Castle unfortunately bows out of Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List, which tracks the very best LEGO sets currently available through the online store. In its place is 10261 Roller Coaster, but once Mickey and friends return to LEGO.com, they’ll be right back in the mix. That’s just how good 71040 The Disney Castle is.

Author Profile
- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
