One of the 2025 LEGO Collectible Minifigures series may not include minifigures, but 71049 F1 Collectible Race Car is familiar in one way.
Following the reveal of 71049 F1 Collectible Race Car last week, the official online store has yet to add a listing for the miniature Formula 1 cars. Still, other retailers have at least provided full imagery. It seems that the LEGO Group is getting ready to list the series on LEGO.com though as listings for both 71049 F1 Collectible Race Car and 66796 F1 Collectible Race Car 6-Pack have appeared on the instructions database.
Not only does this suggest that a listing for both is coming soon, but it confirms an important detail about the odd series of LEGO collectibles. Like every other series before it, which focused on minifigures, 71049 F1 Collectible Race Car will still have a pack of six random cars to pick up and get a head start on the series.
It's likely that it will launch on the same day as 71049 F1 Collectible Race Car – May 1, 2025 – but this has not been confirmed at the time of writing. Still, even though the series is inherently different from every other LEGO Collectible Minifigures range, it's good to know that something will remain the same.
