LEGO Star Wars 75349 Captain Rex Helmet is the subtheme’s biggest set yet

The upcoming launch of LEGO Star Wars 75349 Captain Rex Helmet will also see the arrival of the subtheme’s biggest set to date.

Three new additions to the LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection will be arriving on March 1, 2023, in the shape of 75349 Captain Rex Helmet, 75350 Clone Commander Cody Helmet and 75351 Princess Leia (Boushh) Helmet. The models feature brick-built versions of each character’s signature headgear and all three sets are priced at £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99.

The prequel trilogy-era LEGO Star Wars helmets are the first to feature designs from that point in the franchise’s timeline, with 75349 Captain Rex Helmet boasting a Phase II look. That particular model also contains 854 pieces (compared to 766 pieces in 75350 Clone Commander Cody Helmet), making it the largest set within the subtheme so far.

The previous biggest set in the LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection was 75304 Darth Vader Helmet, with the Sith Lord’s shiny black headgear coming in at 834 pieces. 75349 Captain Rex Helmet not only trumps that model by 20 pieces, but is also a full £10 / $10 / €10 cheaper than the fallen Jedi’s helmet.

Rumours suggest that a fourth LEGO Star Wars helmet may also arrive at some point in 2023, with a recent report stating an Endor Rebel trooper helmet could be joining the subtheme. However, there has been no official confirmation from the LEGO Group regarding such a model, so do treat that information as purely speculative for now.
