LEGO Star Wars lays siege to 2026 with an essential battle pack

LEGO Star Wars is adding another compelling army-builder to the theme in 2026 with 75449 Siege of Mandalore Battle Pack, which is an essential pickup for Clone Wars fans.

LEGO Star Wars battle packs tend to be a bit of mixed bag, either way too expensive for what’s in the box and with a so-so selection of minifigures or delivering something a little special. 75449 Siege of Mandalore Battle Pack steers towards the latter by ticking plenty of the right boxes, with a desirable and affordable set based on the final story arc of the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series.

A sequel of sorts to 75359 332nd Ahsoka’s Clone Trooper Battle Pack, the latest LEGO Star Wars army builder delivers clone-on-Mandalorian action, all for a reasonable (in modern battle pack terms) £17.99 / $22.99 / €19.99. For that price, 75449 Siege of Mandalore Battle Pack offers up four minifigures in total, along with a simple brick-built barricade and small Mandalorian speeder, both of which are armed with stud-shooting blasters.

While the included side builds are certainly appreciated, it’s the LEGO Star Wars set’s minifigures that are always the main draw. Inside 75449 Siege of Mandalore Battle Pack are two 332nd Clone Troopers, complete with distinctive orange helmet prints marking them as loyal to Ahsoka Tano, plus an all-new pair of Mandalorian Super Commando minifigures that prove to be the real highlight of the model.

Versions of the Phase 2 clones have popped up before in the now-retired 75283 Armoured Assault Tank (AAT) and 75359 332nd Ahsoka’s Clone Trooper Battle Pack, so while they’re not necessarily novel for veteran collectors, they’re handy if you happened to miss out on those minifigures before.

The Clone Wars-era troopers will also prove to be perfect additions for those who are keen on army building and boast familiar blue, black and white armour, complete with standard printed clone heads underneath their striking helmets, plus blaster and blaster rifle accessories.

Making their debut in 75449 Siege of Mandalore Battle Pack are two unnamed Mandalorian Super Commando minifigures, although one appears to be based on the design of characters that first appeared in 2013’s Mandalorian Speeder, complete with black hand print on his pearl dark grey helmet.

The LEGO Star Wars set includes male and female versions of the Mandalorian warriors, both of which boast detailed pearl dark grey, dark red and silver colour schemes across their printed helmets, torsos and legs, with each of those pieces being a brand new element. The minifigures are rounded out with jetpacks, blaster pistols and one small, hand-held combat shield, making the characters all ready for the fight to come.

For its price and piece count, 75449 Siege of Mandalore Battle Pack will definitely be well worth picking up on launch day. More 332nd Clone Troopers are always a welcome sight and two new Mandalorian Super Commando designs make the LEGO Star Wars set worth the price of entry alone.
