The set recreates Baby Groot at a larger scale than we’ve seen before. Unlike his earliest incarnations, he uses the lighter brown shade that sets like 76193 The Guardians’ Ship introduced. Curved elements and more organic pieces (like brown whips and green leaves) lend him a more unusual appearance than similar LEGO sets.
The set comes with an impressive degree of articulation; his legs, arms and hands can all be fully posed thanks to his ball-and-socket joints. These should allow you to tear up the dance floor with Baby Groot, just as he does in the movie. He’s also delightfully expressive, thanks to the thoughtful use of curved elements for his facial features.
Two accessories are included with the set: one of Star-Lord’s cassette tapes, and an information plaque containing Groot’s attributes. However, since this is written in Groot’s native tongue, attrigroots may be a better term.
