LEGO Batman 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box officially revealed
The biggest LEGO Batman set has been officially revealed as 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box is coming soon to the official online store.
The LEGO Group has shined the Bat-Signal on 76252 Batcave Shadow Box, which will launch at the start of June with early access for VIP members. Featuring six minifigures, 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box is made up of 3,981 pieces.
That puts it above all other LEGO Batman sets by piece count, not counting 31205 Jim Lee Batman Collection since the LEGO Art set uses mostly one-stud tiles.
While it might not look as interesting as other big builds at first, 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box is basic on the outside by design, fitting the hero’s preferred colour scheme. Batman’s logo acts as a cutout in the centre, providing a peek into his headquarters.
However, the whole thing can open up to reveal the full Batcave build inspired by 1992’s Batman Returns. Inside you’ll find the Batmobile, functions and gadgets including moving furniture, changing images on the big screen, a vault and door, and several light bricks.
It’s another set focusing on Michael Keaton’s Batman, joining 76259 Batman Construction Figure and 30653 Batman 1992. This seems unlikely to be a coincidence given his upcoming appearance in The Flash on June 16, 2023.
The new LEGO 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box set is launching for LEGO VIPs on June 5 and will be available to all on June 8 for £344.99 / $449.99 / €449.99.

- LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
