LEGO Speed Champions 77237 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat review
LEGO Speed Champions 77237 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat brings all-American muscle to the theme, but can it hold up under pressure?
We’re taking a closer look at 77237 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, rendered in a vibrant bright green with black accents. With little printing and no stickers, the bodywork looks deceptively plain, with a lot of what makes the LEGO Speed Champions car tick hidden under the first layer of bricks.

Where a lot of other LEGO Speed Champions sets use stickers and fiddly pieces to capture minute details, 77237 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat leans into the blocky nature of the real car. It embodies a simplistic look on the face of it, a collection of smooth lines and sharp corners.
With all that in mind, you might be expecting a fairly boring build – but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The top layer of green plates leaves tiny gaps where the lights and inner details can peek through, artfully recreating the features of the real-life Dodge.

That’s especially apparent with the headlights, which stare out from between a narrow grille. The effect pulls you in and is an impressively understated detail for a car in such an eye-catching colour. The iconic Dodge bonnet has also been well rendered, with black accents throughout pulling together for a unified look.
In a theme packed with sports cars and – this year, at least – Formula 1 monsters, 77237 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat also embodies some of that American feeling, with a minifigure dressed in a classic Dodge race jacket and a coffee cup wedged in the interior. It’s a small detail but it softens and brings the car to life, quite apart from any of the authentic engineering details.

For a car known for its aggressive power and style, replicating that satisfactorily on such a small scale was always a big ask – but one that the LEGO Group has delivered on here. While a lot of its most impressive building techniques are hidden within the car, the layers of plates do allow them to peek through, especially in the front and rear lights and grille.
For Hellcat fans, rest assured that the heart of the car has been faithfully translated here, with 77237 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat packing one hell of a punch.
Our honest opinion: 77237 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat doesn’t just capture the physical details but also the heart of the real-life car.
