LEGO adds more sets to its mid-year retirement schedule for 2026

Don’t get caught out by the LEGO Group’s shifting retirement schedules, as three LEGO Ideas sets are set to disappear earlier than first thought.

Three LEGO Ideas sets have got six months less time on shelves, while another has been given six months more. 21323 Grand Piano will now retire at the end of December 2026, where previously it was due to cease production in July of that year.

It swaps places with three other sets from the same theme, as 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale, 21350 Jaws, and 21352 Magic of Disney are all now due to retire on July 31, 2026. It’s worth noting, as always, that sets can disappear even earlier than that if there isn’t enough stock, as well as possibly hang on for longer if the LEGO Group has stock it needs to shift.

For those planning on buying any of those three sets at some point, you now have a little over a year before the official retirement date. The shift of these sets retiring in the middle of the year, rather than at the end, is becoming increasingly common and is well worth being aware of, especially if you’re used to sets retiring closer to the end of the year.

All three sets are currently available to buy on LEGO.com and could even see possible discounts, especially as their retirement dates get closer – but if any of them are on your list of must-haves, don’t wait around too long to add them to your collection.

What’s perhaps even more pressing is what’s on its way out this year. We’ve broken down all the latest retiring information for 2025 here, plus you can check out every set’s retirement date in our full outline here.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
