LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight comic announced

A free tie-in comic for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has been announced, and it will be available for one day next month.

The LEGO Group’s partnership with DC is going to result in a new comic book on May 2, 2026. It has just been announced that to mark the release of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on May 22, 2026, a tie-in comic is coming to shops for Free Comic Book Day.

The event, which takes place worldwide at participating stores, offers free comics based on a variety of franchises. The selection this year will include one for LEGO Batman, the cover of which has been unveiled on social media.

The cover and announcement don’t offer any indication of what the comic’s plot will be. The game covers the full story of Batman, though. You can at least spot the skyline of retired 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City in the background.

You can check which stores are participating in the event, and hopefully offering the LEGO comic on the Free Comic Book Day website. The event takes place on May 2 only. The LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight game is up for pre-order now, ahead of May 22.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
