Official LEGO Botanicals vase launched via Pick a Brick

After years of waiting, LEGO Botanicals has an official vase build for your bouquets, and it’s available as part of the Pick a Brick service.

Following the launch of the LEGO Botanicals range in 2021, calls for a vase to go with the various bouquets have been clear. While standard vases will work just as well, and the LEGO Group has offered an official vase product before, this is the first time that a LEGO vase model has been officially shared.

The vase was spotted on a new blog post on the Adults Welcome section of the official online store, but you can also head directly to Pick a Brick to find the parts for the customisable vase model. The 174-piece kit will cost £33.18 / €37.08 / €37.98 and can be short or tall, depending on your needs.

The 3×3 curved windshield pieces are currently out of stock in transparent light blue, but when they return, you can pick the model up by clicking here. The LEGO Botanicals design team considered an official vase build for the initial bouquet set, but they ultimately passed on the idea.

“We certainly looked at it for a bit and explored making different kinds of vases,” said designer Anderson Grubb with select LEGO Fan Media (including Brick Fanatics).

“One of the things that was a guiding principle was: ‘How can we surprise people?’ I have a number of theories about it, but for whatever reason, when we had our versions of the bouquet in brick-built vases – whether they were quite simple and elegant or decorated or whatever – versus just vases we had around the building, even in very simple things like water pitchers, people responded more to the magic with ‘Wow, is that really LEGO?’ when it was in a regular vase.

“It was just something that we realised is actually really helping to elevate that sense that the product is surprising you.”

While there are still no vases in LEGO Botanicals sets, Pick a Brick is your friend in finally adding one to your home, or multiple, depending on your current floral collection.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
