LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has officially gone gold
With less than a month to go until LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight launches comes word that the highly-anticipated video game has gone gold.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is gearing up for its long-awaited launch, with a number of video updates having recently appeared and the social media campaign for the title really beginning to ramp up. That includes a fresh post from TT Games today, with the developer officially confirming that the title has now achieved gold status and is finished.
“When an in-development game has, “gone gold,” that means the base game is completed,” TT Games explained. “In the olden days, games were printed on gold master discs when finished. It’s a major development milestone, and we’re so happy we could share this with you!”

Unlike the lengthy delays that plagued the developer’s previous title, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, next month’s launch has had its original release date moved forward by a whole week, which may suggest that the company has managed to overcome its production issues in recent years.
Either way, that’s good news for gamers who now don’t have much longer to wait in order to get their hands on LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, with those who sign up for a WB Games account rewarded with a Golden Age outfit and all pre-orders eligible for a Dark Knight Returns skin.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 22. Those who opt to purchase the Deluxe Edition will be able to gain access to the game three days earlier though on May 19.
