LEGO BIONICLE’s legacy continues in 2023

LEGO Friends is the latest theme to reference BIONICLE as one of its 2023 models reveals that the theme is one of Nova’s favourites.

LEGO Bionicle has had plenty of Easter eggs across a variety of themes in recent years and that trend continues with 41755 Nova’s Room. Nova is one of the new characters featured in the 2023 relaunch of LEGO Friends and she has an affinity for gaming, a hobby that is present throughout her room.

On the left side of the top, a gaming setup featuring two screens and a laptop can be found, featuring two stickers depicting the same game. This title has a red and white character fighting with swords and this seems to be a reference to Tahu and Kopaka respectively.

The two main Toa from BIONICLE appear to have a fighting game within the world of LEGO Friends and the white statue to the left of the screens might also be one of Kopaka’s sets, meaning Nova is likely a fan of the classic LEGO theme.

While BIONICLE hasn’t had any full sets since the last reboot of the theme, it’s interesting and appreciated to see the legacy of the theme continue in 2023. You’ll be able to pick up 41755 Nova’s Room and the other 19 new LEGO Friends sets come January 1, 2023.
