Does the LEGO Botanical Collection have a secret extra set?

The LEGO Botanical Collection just expanded by two – but could there be an extra set included in the unofficial theme?

The Botanical Collection is made up of 11 flower and plant-themed builds, ranging from smaller sets like 40524 Sunflowers all the way up to more extravagant builds like the upcoming 10314 Dried Flower Centrepiece that was recently announced. However, various other sets also have an affinity for plants, even outside of the Botanical Collection.

Reddit user Dakkard made a clever connection in grouping together their Botanical builds with LEGO Marvel 76217 I am Groot, as displayed in their Reddit post. Technically speaking, the little guy is a sentient plant, so he’s not out of place in his cozy spot in between 10281 Bonsai Tree and 10289 Bird of Paradise.

Of course, this is all tongue in cheek – although it’s worth noting that clicking on ‘Products’ on the LEGO Group’s official page for the Botanical Collection takes you to a page that includes virtually any set that has something to do with flowers, including 10298 Vespa 125 and (for some reason) 31131 Downtown Noodle Shop. So if a plant-adjacent set counts in the LEGO Group’s book, then we’ll be counting 76217 I am Groot as an unofficial Botanical set from here on out.
