LEGO Braille Bricks available soon in three more languages

LEGO Braille Bricks will soon be available in three more languages, coming early in 2024 and already live on the online LEGO store.

First on sale widely since August of this year, these specially-designed bricks are moulded so that the studs on top reflect individual letters and numbers in the Braille alphabet, encouraging visually-impaired builders to get stuck into play. What’s more, Braille Bricks are fully compatible with other LEGO elements, so can be used in conjunction with existing bricks and sets and facilitate play between sighted people and those with visual impairments.

Already available in six languages across seven countries (Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, the UK and the USA) through the LEGO Foundation and for sale in English and French, LEGO Braille Bricks will soon be available to buy in 40722 Play with Braille – German Alphabet, 40723 Play with Braille – Italian Alphabet, and 40724 Play with Braille – Spanish Alphabet.

Since their launch, LEGO Braille Bricks have received an overwhelmingly positive response, being named one of the best inventions of 2023 and impacting the lives of long-term LEGO fans. Each set includes 284 bricks with Braille numbers and letters in five different colours, plus baseplates to build on, for 287 pieces total.

40722 Play with Braille – German Alphabet, 40723 Play with Braille – Italian Alphabet, and 40724 Play with Braille – Spanish Alphabet are all available for €89.99 in Europe and will be available to buy from January 4, 2024.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
