LEGO building challenge tests Chelsea players during training
Chelsea’s new Head Coach is reportedly attempting to boost his squad’s morale by challenging players with LEGO building competitions.
The arrival of a new face can often seriously shake things up within an established football team, fundamentally changing the status quo and giving a club a much-needed lift. That certainly seems to be the case at Chelsea right now, as incoming Head Coach Liam Rosenior is said to be bringing some unique LEGO-based techniques into the changing room.
The former Hull manager has arrived at Stamford Bridge mid-season and will take charge of his first full team game at Chelsea this weekend. According to a report by the Daily Mail, in the run-up to that fixture Liam has been attempting to bond his players and make connections on and off the pitch by implementing a few new approaches, including a LEGO building competition.

The results of the Chelsea squad’s team exercise have yet to be revealed, so there’s no way of knowing just how impressive some of the Premier League players’ building skills might well be.
The Head Coach’s fresh approach at Chelsea also apparently includes encouraging the club’s hierarchy to keep visiting the changing room after every game and avoiding wearing gloves during training sessions in order for players to hear him giving them encouraging applause.
It’s too early to know if Liam’s creative approach to team training sessions will ultimately stick as a team bonding exercise or if more LEGO building competitions are on the cards, but the result against Brentford at the weekend could well decide if Chelsea’s latest Head Coach is on to a winning formula or not.
