LEGO City jungle wave rumoured to have its own collectible
Following in the footsteps of LEGO Harry Potter’s collectibles, LEGO City’s jungle sets are rumoured to have collectible elements included in the sub-theme.
Following on from initial rumours that LEGO City would be returning to the jungle in its summer wave and then a wealth of suspected details about the four jungle-themed builds, Polish LEGO fan site Fanklockow now reports that not only will the LEGO jungle builds fit together into one larger model, as earlier reported, but will also include collectible map fragments in each set.
This wouldn’t be the first time that the LEGO Group has spread collectible pieces across multiple sets. LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary sets have collectible minifigures spread through various different sets, while LEGO Harry Potter’s most recent example (of several) was the Wizard Portraits.
Including map fragments would make sense for a jungle sub-theme, with intrepid explorers journeying into the jungle. If the rumour is true, it’ll be interesting to see how much detail will be included on the map fragments – and indeed where the map will lead. Of course, we won’t know for sure whether this information is true until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group.
