LEGO City summer 2024 wave revealed, including first look at Jungle sets
A number of LEGO City 2024 sets have been revealed ahead of their summer release, including sets based on the jungle, construction, and more.
German retailers JB Spielwaren and LuckyBricks on Instagram have together revealed a massive wave of LEGO City sets, due for release this summer from June 1 in the UK and Europe and a rumoured delay release from August 1 for the United States. This gives us our first look at a range of sets, including the previously rumoured LEGO City jungle-themed models – with some tempting animal moulds.
Here’s a full breakdown of everything new to LEGO City that we’ve spotted.
60407 Double Decker Sightseeing Bus
Price: £TBC / $26.99 / €29.99 Pieces: 384 Release date: June 1 / August 1, 2024
First up is 60407 Double Decker Sightseeing Bus, with JB Spielwaren reporting a European price of €29.99 for the 384-piece set. The bus appears to be based on modern London buses, with a main colour of red, black accents, and attractions from around the city decorating the sides of the bus. The upper floor is left open to the ‘elements, at a scale where minifigures can sit on both floors.
60408 Car Transporter with Sports Cars

Next up is the larger 60408 Car Transporter, at just shy of 1,000 pieces. That includes four vehicles in total: one lorry to pull the transporter and three sports cars to ride on it. Each car has its own colour and unique wrap and there are four minifigures included in the set to ‘drive’ each vehicle.
60409 Mobile Construction Crane
Price: £TBC / $109.99 / €109.99 Pieces: 1,116 Release date: June 1 / August 1, 2024
Moving into the world of construction, 60409 Mobile Construction Crane is another larger build at over 1,000 pieces – yet still offering a more affordable way to get a brick-built crane when compared to the truly enormous 42146 Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000. The LEGO City alternative appears to have some functionality, with a moving arm and the ability to turn in a full 360-degree spin. There’s even a buildable port-a-potty for the four working minifigures to use.
60420 Yellow Construction Excavator
Price: £TBC / $56.99 / €54.99 Pieces: 633 Release date: June 1 / August 1, 2024
Sticking with the construction theme, there’s a slightly smaller (and cheaper) option for would-be-builders in the form of 60420 Construction Excavator, with a posable arm and digger protruding from the chunky vehicle At 633 pieces and with three minifigures, this is another detailed build with plenty of play possibilities.
60421 Robot World Roller-Coaster Park
Price: £TBC / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 986 Release date: June 1 / August 1, 2024
60421 Robot World is another LEGO City set with a piece count just under 1,000 pieces – and it certainly packs a lot in. The build includes a robot-themed rollercoaster designed in bright colours, along with a dynamic mech with what looks like its own stud-shooting mech. For minifigures seeking less of an adrenaline rush, there are three brick-built arcade games, a drone, and plenty more fun besides.
60422 Seaside Harbour with Cargo Ship
Price: £TBC / $109.99 / €109.99 Pieces: 1,061 Release date: June 1 / August 1, 2024
Has your LEGO City got access to the sea? If not, now is your chance with the 1,061-piece 60422 Harbour. Priced at €109.99, it includes a huge harbour ship, crane, and a harbour office front, with eight minifigures to play every role you could imagine throughout your new brick-built seafront.
60424 Jungle Explorer ATV: Red Panda Mission

We’ve also had a fair few LEGO City jungle reveals, kicking off with the smallest 60424 Jungle Explorer ATV: Red Panda Mission at 92 pieces for €9.99. The set isn’t too much to write home about, including an ATV and a minifigure to drive it – but the real pull is the new red panda mould, as already seen in a LEGO DREAMZzz set. The panda almost stills the show from the arrival of Johnny Thunder, in a blast from the past from LEGO Adventurer.
60425 Jungle Explorer Water Plane

Showcasing reptiles great and small, 60425 Jungle Explorer Water Plane has everything from tiny toads to baby and adult crocs. The larger reptiles have studs on their back for the frogs (or even some brave minifigures) to ride on, and the adults even have posable jaws to add some drama to your build.
60426 Jungle Explorer Off-Road Vehicle

Moving deeper into the jungle with 60426 Jungle Explorer Off-Road Vehicle, this LEGO City set includes an off-road car large enough to transport all three minifigures, so that they can track a tiger to its lair in the jungle. The animal can be posed on the brick-built cave, complete with a tree for extra scenery.
60435 Tow Truck and Sports Car Repair
Price: £TBC / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 101 Release date: June 1 / August 1, 2024
Briefly departing the jungle, 60435 Tow Truck and Sports Car Repair includes 101 pieces and would make a great companion to 60408 Car Transport Truck with Sports Cars. It features two vehicles and two minifigures (one driver and one repair man) to offer roadside assistance in your LEGO city.
60437 Jungle Explorer Helicopter

Last but certainly not least for the jungle sub-theme, 60437 Jungle Explorer Helicopter comes in with 881 pieces. That includes a green habitat for three gorillas (including one tiny baby one), a jingle-based lab, and a huge helicopter to carry minifigures off on missions into the jungle.
60440 LEGO Delivery Truck

Soon you’ll have the ability to get really meta: delivering LEGO in your LEGO city. With a huge LEGO delivery truck taking up the majority of 60440 LEGO Delivery Truck’s pieces, it also features tiny versions of what look likely mostly LEGO City sets, with a side door to allow loading and unloading to the bright yellow vehicle.
