LEGO Lunar Outpost partnership confirmed following rumour

The LEGO Group has confirmed a new space-centric partnership with Lunar Outpost just after a rumour for a mysteriously-named set surfaced.

Over one week ago, a rumour from the reliable lego_minecraft_goat stated that part of the reported 42211’s set name would be ‘Lunar Outpost Moon’. We speculated that Lunar Outpost might be referring to the Colorado space firm.

Suddenly, the LEGO Group has confirmed a partnership with this specific company for later this year on Instagram. The tease does not state when the partnership starts, other than later in 2025. A page for the teaser on the official online store confirms that one product is coming alongside more surprises.

That’s not to say that this is confirmation of the rumoured LEGO Technic set, but it’s rumoured to cost $99.99 and be released this summer. Lunar Outpost is is best known for its Mobile Autonomous Prospecting Platform (MAPP) rover and the background of the teaser features tracks, though these seem to be minifigure footprints instead of wheel tracks.

For now, the partnership is confirmed, but the Technic set is only a rumour until confirmed otherwise. Here’s what else is rumoured for LEGO Technic later this year.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
