LEGO Creator 2024 sets include retro camera, astronaut and animal safari
Initial listings for next year’s LEGO Creator sets promise another eclectic line-up, including a retro camera, astronaut in space and an animal safari.
Variety is once again the order of the day for LEGO Creator 3-in-1, which is apparently going to fun new places in 2024. Fresh listings on price comparison site brickmerge.de include a mix of animals, real-world objects, vehicles and even a brick-built astronaut, which may or may not end up resembling a smaller version of Truman Cheng’s LEGO Astronaut: Never Give Up.
That LEGO Ideas project is part of the first 2023 review, the results of which will likely be announced in October. And if 31152 Astronaut in Space – which is said to retail for €49.99 and include 647 pieces – does pan out as expected, it feels like the nail in the coffin for Cheng’s design. The space-themed set isn’t the largest LEGO Creator 3-in-1 set on the docket for 2024, however.
31150 Animal Safari actually tops out the list at 780 pieces for €64.99, and could be next year’s follow-up to 31129 Majestic Tiger and 31136 Exotic Parrot. Given the lack of specificity in the set name, the model could well include multiple beasts, such as a giraffe, lion and rhinoceros.
Other points of interest in the full list of sets include 31147 Retro Camera, which may sit nicely with 21327 Typewriter and 21332 The Globe – and is likely very retro to avoid clashing with LEGO Ideas’ Polaroid Camera – and 31148 Roller Skate, which costs €29.99 for 342 pieces. (You might need two for the full effect.)
