LEGO deals of the week: Six discounted LEGO sets that caught our eye

You can already save on July LEGO releases weeks before they hit shelves, as well as the best prices we’ve seen so far on two brand-new book nooks.

Zavvi is offering 5% off all pre-orders with code LEGO5, offering the first chance to save on dozens of LEGO sets. We’ve picked out some of the highlights here; with 5% not being a massive percentage saving, this Zavvi code is best used on some of the pricier sets that might not see discounts elsewhere for a while.

That means LEGO exclusives like 77078 Mecha Team Leader should be ripe for the picking, as well as popular builds like 72037 Mario & Standard Kart. Click through to Zavvi to shop all the discounts.

Over at Amazon, as well as a host of savings on retiring builds, the retailer is offering the best prices we’ve seen so far for LEGO Harry Potter 76450 Book Nook: Hogwarts Express and LEGO Icons 10367 The Lord of the Rings: Balrog Book Book, discounted by 11% and 5% respectively. That saves you £10 and £5 on each of them, which isn’t massive – but it’s something if you’ve been holding off on these bookish builds.

The highlight of Amazon‘s offers, however, is a massive £63 saving when you buy both 75398 C-3PO and 75379 R2-D2. The duo was designed to be displayed together, so now is the perfect time to grab them both for less.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
