LEGO Design Seminar 2023's exclusive set features rare minifigure

This year's LEGO Design Seminar has gifted attendees with an exclusive LEGO set, diving into nostalgia with another callback to Classic Space.

One of the seemingly more recent events offered to The LEGO Group's employees, LEGO designer Justin Ramsden has revealed one aspect of the 2023 LEGO Design Seminar.

The exclusive gift given to attendees of the 2023 LEGO Design Seminar is another Classic Space model, granted the designation DS2023. It includes four minifigures of existing re-released Classic Space characters (one of which is appearing for the first time, in a way), a few robots and a sci-fi DJ booth.

Unless it is a sticker, the only exclusive part in this set appears to be the DS23 brick on the base of the DJ booth and the rest of it should be fairly easy to recreate with parts you have in your collection.

While it is not exclusive, the purple astronaut is more uncommon than the rest of the minifigures and is the most recent inclusion to the astronaut minifigure line-up. Its parts have previously been scattered around various sets and, to our knowledge, this is the first time the full minifigure has been featured in a model.

Otherwise, the red and white astronauts are featured in 10497 Galaxy Explorer and the Blacktron minifigure is from the 40580 Blacktron Cruiser GWP that was previously offered.
