LEGO designer video released for 2020 LEGO Ghostbusters set

LEGO ICONS 10274 Ghostbusters ECTO-1 was released nearly two years ago, but it finally has a dedicated LEGO designer video.

10274 Ghostbusters ECTO-1 was first released on November 11, 2020, and has been available to purchase for almost two years. However, the model had yet to receive a LEGO designer video, until now. It features designers Mike Psika, Adam Grabowski and Carl Merriam.

With Mike mentioning that the car has yet to appear in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, it seems likely that the video was filmed before the film launched in November 2021, but it has been added to the LEGO Group’s official YouTube channel today, September 17, 2022, so it could be that it was held back or production on it recently finished. Either way, it’s good to finally have a designer video for this LEGO ICONS set.

As usual, the designer video offers insight into the development and final design of 10274 Ghostbusters ECTO-1, including stories of parts being stolen by other designers, an explanation for the larger steering wheel element and a reference to LEGO Dimensions in one of the set’s accessories.

10274 Ghostbusters ECTO-1 is available now for £209.99 / $239.99 / €239.99 with 2,352 pieces. You can find out more about the build and see an extensive gallery in out detailed review. Note that the review includes prices from before the recent increases which are no longer accurate.
