LEGO designers offer first look inside the 2022 design seminar

Details from the LEGO Design Seminar for 2022 has been revealed online, including the theme of the event and an exclusive printed brick. 

Over the weekend, 370 LEGO designers were invited to the 2022 Design Seminar for a night of building, fun and general creativity. Thanks to some designers in attendance at the event, images have been provided to take us inside the seminar and reveal the theme – Freestyle.

The Freestyle Design Seminar was described by Samuel Johnson as having ‘a flair of the 90s’, revealing the exterior space of the event on Twitter. 

Thankfully, George Gilliatt was on hand to reveal plenty of other images from the event, taking us inside the 2022 Design Seminar. The first of his images reveals that the event even came with an exclusive printed brick.

This design seminar is one of the multiple events that the LEGO Group holds for their employees with LEGO Play Day being an annual tradition. For 2022, Play Day was focused on the 90th anniversary of the company. 

Don’t count on being able to grab a copy of that exclusive printed brick easily, unless it appears on the secondary market in the future as this was an event intended for LEGO employees to take a break from designing the sets we build.
