LEGO Disney BrickHeadz 2025 rumours include classic animated characters

Three new LEGO Disney BrickHeadz sets are rumoured to be on the way in early 2025, recreating a pair of classic animated characters and a recent Pixar favourite.

The LEGO BrickHeadz theme still shows no signs of slowing down, having recently passed its 250th blocky character, and it sounds like it’s going to continue in full force in 2025. Brick Clicker reports that three new Disney characters will be joining the range early next year, including 40792 Dumbo, 40797 Eeyore and 40798 Mei the Red Panda. Each one is said to retail for $9.99, in line with current BrickHeadz pricing.

Two of those sets feel like they could have fit nicely into the LEGO Disney 100th anniversary range in 2023, given they reach back through the decades to draw on some of the oldest animated characters around. The original Dumbo movie landed in cinemas in 1941, while Eeyore made his first appearance in the Winnie the Pooh books all the way back in 1926, and his on-screen debut in 1966.

Sitting in direct contrast to those characters is a third set inspired by Pixar’s Oscar-nominated 2022 movie Turning Red. The coming-of-age film follows 13-year-old Mei, who turns into a giant red panda whenever she encounters any difficult emotions. The LEGO version sounds like it will recreate Mei’s anthropomorphic animal state, which should give it some appeal beyond just Disney fans.

That’s if these sets do arrive as anticipated, of course – for now, take them with the customary grain of salt (you know the drill at this point).

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
