Reminder: LEGO double VIP points starts tomorrow

The latest LEGO double VIP points event kicks off tomorrow, offering a short five-day window in which to maximise returns when shopping online and in-store.

If you’re signed up to the LEGO VIP program, you’ll typically earn the equivalent of 5% cashback on all purchases at LEGO.com and LEGO Stores, in the form of VIP points (which can be exchanged for discount vouchers and exclusive rewards). During double VIP points events, that return doubles to 10% (quick maths). Happy days.

The next double VIP points promo runs from June 9 to 13, which for those keeping track at home begins less than 24 hours from the time this story goes live. And it will effectively mark the biggest equivalent discount so far on not only a good chunk of June 2023 sets – such as 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box and 10323 PAC-MAN Arcade – but everything that’s released since the last event in February.

That includes sets like 10317 Land Rover Classic Defender 90 and 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell, both of which launched exclusively through official channels earlier this year. Grabbing the Middle-earth set from tomorrow through June 13 will return a hefty £42 / $50 / €50 in VIP points, to give one example.

Even better: the latest gift-with-purchase 40589 Pirate Ship Playground is still available with orders above £95 in the UK and €100 in Europe, and will stack with double VIP points – as will 40607 Summer Fun VIP Add-on Pack, which is free with all purchases above £45 / $50 / €50. Double VIP doesn’t often cross over with freebies, so take the opportunity to shore up on bonuses while you can.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
