LEGO DREAMZzz summer 2025 set rumoured to be cancelled
A LEGO DREAMZzz set rumoured for later this year is now reported to be cancelled entirely, said to be the second-biggest build in the theme.
The consistently reliable fateful_04 on Instagram reports that 71501 Game Island Tower won’t be released later this year after all, despite original rumours for the theme’s summer selection. It’s claimed that 71501 Game Island Tower has been cancelled.
The 1,575-piece model was originally rumoured to be released in June for $179.99, which the source also updated to $189.99, but we might not see it on shelves at all according to this rumour. Both reports are to be taken with caution and it might be safe to forget about this LEGO DREAMZzz model entirely now.
Though further details for 71501 Game Island Tower, the Cyber Realm as depicted in official imagery and a tile in 71479 Zoey’s Cat Motorcycle certainly fits the name. It would be an interesting challenge for LEGO designers to recreate, likely in a similar style to 71486 Castle Nocturnia.
It’s possible that the Game Island Tower is not the Cyber Realm but either way, the rumoured set is now claimed to be cancelled entirely. Given the recent round of sales on almost all of the LEGO DREAMZzz sets on LEGO.com towards the end of 2024, there might not be space on shelves for a $189.99 model and the massive 71486 Castle Nocturnia at once.
