Familiar modular model might be in LEGO Ideas’ future
The consistent demand for LEGO Ideas modular buildings continues with a unique but familiar setup devised by the 910002 Studgate fan designer.
LEGO Ideas users are constantly pitching additional modular buildings and modular-compatible models, but only 21353 The Botanical Garden has ever been approved with modifications removing the modular building connections.
That hasn’t stopped the LEGO Ideas community though as 10,000 users have now voted to give Bricky_Brick’s Music and Jewelry submission a chance at becoming a future set. This build is made up of 3,000 pieces with six minifigures, two stores and a lavish apartment for a LEGO Ideas fan.
The setup may remind you of 10255 Assembly Square with the fountain in the middle and the living space for a LEGO enthusiast, but this model has been designed as a corner modular building across one and a half baseplates similar to 80107 Spring Lantern Festival.
It would be something new but familiar for the LEGO Modular Buildings Collection but so far such sets haven’t found any success on LEGO Ideas as they have in the BrickLink Designer Program.
Despite this, with over 20 10K projects under their belt and an official set in the form of the BrickLink Designer Program’s 910002 Studgate, this might be the moment Bricky_Brick has been waiting for. There are currently 53 submissions in the LEGO Ideas third 2024 review.
