Latest LEGO Ideas project puts the fun in functional

LEGO sets that also function as a useful part of everyday life are basically essential purchases and one LEGO Ideas fan designer has hit the sweet spot.

Christmas Day brought more than just presents for Brazilian fan designer Pedro Lara, with their very first LEGO Ideas project making it past 10,000 supporters. That puts it in with a chance of becoming a real LEGO Ideas set.

Working Ornate Card Shuffler does exactly what it says on the tin; it's a brick-built card shuffler that can mix up your deck of cards by itself. Its functionality doesn't mean it's skimping on design, with an ornate case in black and yellow, with extra detail around the card drawer. The example in the video on the LEGO Ideas page is powered by an electric motor but it can also work with a manual lever if you prefer.

Working Ornate Card Shuffler becomes the 44th LEGO Ideas project to make it into the third and final review of 2024. Here's a reminder of all the other fan-designed builds to gain 10,000 votes and compete to become an official LEGO Ideas set.
